Deep Vacation

Synopsis

As the summer holidays approach, Li Yu and Yang Kuaikuai, the two heroes of Easy Breezy, go on a seaside school trip to Duanshan Island in northeastern China. Between excitement and apprehension, the students discover that the island is rumored to be haunted by the spirits of the drowned. As always, the two teenagers soon find themselves at the heart of a thrilling adventure.

Li Yu falls for Shi Chengshi, a classmate, who mysteriously disappears on the beach one evening. Determined to find her, the boys stay on the island and cross paths with an enigmatic amnesiac character, who might be linked to old murders on Duanshan.

Toward a trilogy

Deep Vacation blends gripping crime fiction, humor, and suspense. We find the larger-than-life characters of Easy Breezy, elevated by the dynamic style and rhythmic storytelling of Yi Yang, a young Chinese author who has been living in Italy since 2013.
