About Yi Yang
Yi Yang, born in 1994 in Benxi, in northeastern China, is a comic book author and artist. After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Italy, she settled in France, in Angoulême, where she lives and works today.
Marked by her childhood in Benxi, she draws from her memories of streets, buildings and hills to nurture the unique universe of her stories.
She is the author of several graphic novels translated into French and published by Çà et là, including Easy Breezy, Deep Vacation and Comet Club. Yi Yang has also collaborated on children's books in China and published two comics in Italy with Bao Publishing (Aiuto! and Aiuto! Fratelli).
Her work stands out for its blend of adventure, mystery and sensitivity, at the crossroads of Asian and European cultures.
